An Iranian company used nanoparticles in the production of joint sealing washers with higher efficiency
TEHRAN (INIC)- FARARUB Co. in Iran used nanoparticles in the production of joint sealing washers with higher efficiency in comparison with usual washers existing in the market.
The washers have longer lifetime than the similar samples, and their application is more cost-effective.
Washers have numerous applications in various industries. Sealing the joints and prevention of water or gas leakage are the most important duties of washers. These objects are made of polymeric rubber due to their flexibility. Optimization of life and physical and mechanical properties of these objects increases safety and economic benefits in various industries.
According to Milad Parsafard, Head of Quality Control and Sales Supervisor of FARARUB Co., the company uses silica nanoparticles to produce nanocomposite washers with improved properties.
Eng. Parsafard elaborated on the advantages of this product, and said, “Long lifetime and mechanical strength are among the competitive advantages of the nanocomposite washers, which enable the consumers to use it in a longer period and obtain higher efficiency. In addition, this product reduces waste and production costs.”
“This company,” Eng. Parsafard stated, “has exported a large volume of its products to Turkey due to their high quality. Turkey is a European country and international standards are required to export goods to the country.
